Tim goes flying

Saturday, October 29th, 2011

Today was pretty slow at work so in the afternoon we didn’t have any divers so I was able to go up and do the scenic tour in the helicopter. I didn’t have my camera so I was very disappointed, but one of the photographers out there was very kind and let me borrow one of theirs for the flight. It was fantastic, I really don’t have to say much. The flight was a little over ten minutes and I took 140 photos. It was amazing how it changes your perspective of a place I am at everyday. The flight shows just how big this reef really is, I seen turtles, rays and of course Heart Reef. If you get a chance I wholly endorse doing this flight!!!

Grace goes to Whitehaven

Monday, October 24th, 2011

Today on my way to work I dropped Grace off at the H2O Sportz shop to see if they were going out on the Beach Safari today. They were and they had an extra spot so Grace was able to go. I would have loved to go with but I had to go to work.
When my boat for work arrived I found out the schedule had been changed and I wasn’t working today… I had seen the other boat leave about ten minutes earlier so there was no way I could catch up and go with. Sometimes things are frustrating. Grace took my camera along and got some good shots.

A friend of mine on the island called me and told me he had the day off as well and he wanted to get his PADI Rescue diver certification. I had the day off so we met up and we got all of his pool work finished. Tomorrow we will do his open water portion and then he will be certified. I guess there is a reason for everything.

more underwater photos

Friday, October 14th, 2011

I stayed out at the reef again and brought my underwater camera. I went on a dive late in the day so the end of the dive was pretty much at night, I think it would have been better for the pictures to do the dive in the middle of the day when the sun was brighter. Oh well, it being night gave me a few different options and some of the coral look different as well. I will keep trying, I actually like two or three of the pictures I got this time.
