Got up at 6am to catch a taxi to the bus station at 630. Dorien and I had booked a trip to Nazca and the flight around the lines. The trip went well, and everything was fine till the airport. We waited for almost two hours. There was no reason to get up so early… oh well the informational video is from the history channel and was interesting. Then we got out to our plane, there were three others going with. It was just a little cesna. I didnt think the lines were as big as I had imagined. They are big enough you need to be in the air to see them well, but they seemed hard to see. It could have been the light, it was a bit hazy but much more difficult to make out than I expected. Dorien didn’t fare quite as well on the plane… she had to make use of the handily supplied plastic bags. Bye the end of the flight I wasn’t feeling that great either, but we both survived. Afterwards we had lots of time to kill, so we got our bus tickets and then walked around Nazca. We had a bite to eat and stopped in a few places and just relaxed. It was a good time. My bus was supposed to leave at 8 and hers at 1030. My bus didn’t get there till about quarter after 10. I have been having terrible luck with buses lately. This one was late, then drove slow, broke down, had to stop and wait for police escort due to a bus robbery, the guy next to me kept tossing and turning in his seat, it was hot and several people were throwing up a few rows back…I am glad I didn’t find out about the last bit till after talking to some guys sitting back there.

Should have lots of time to get things settled tomorrow in Cusco.
