Well the second leg of my pre trip, trip is over. I had a great time coming down to san carlos to dive with Alex. We had 10 Open water students and one rescue. Most of the open water student were boy scouts working on the new scuba merit badge. I wish they would have had that when I was in boy scouts. We didn’t go out to the best dive sites yesterday because of the tsunami warnings from the earthquake in Chile. We didn’t see any of the tsunami up in the sea of Cortez, at least not as far north as we were. The visibility was pretty bad and im not sure if that anything to do with it =, but I like the idea that was why it was bad and I am sticking to it. All of the students did pretty good, I found a little swim through but only one of my group would go through it, So props to Suzette (who was not a boy scout). Last night my shoulders started hurting , to the point that I could not fall asleep. I just overworked the muscles from carrying around my BCD with over 20 pounds of weight. I am not used to it and three dives was moving it around a lot. They feel better this morning, I tried to massage them last night enough so I could go to bed, but self massage is hard to get right. I am hoping I can get a real massage soon. We are supposed to be diving at 8 am this morning, so I expected more people to be getting up about this time but so far I hear no one moving around. I am up and writing this in the dark, gotta love the backlit keyboard. It sounds like it is really windy out this morning. I hope it dies down a bit before we go out. After the dive we will come back and pack up the house and head back north. I am not looking forward to the drive back to the states and even less to my drive to California tomorrow. It is just a bit much after the 2000 miles of driving I have already done. More from California!!!
